Receive First-Class Forklift Training throughout the Southeast
Invest in your employees and reduce the chance of a workplace accident with help from the trained team at Track Training Solutions Ltd. A forklift takes skill and precision to operate, and many accidents occur due to limited guidance for employees. Based in Maidstone, Kent, and serving clients throughout the surrounding area, we provide a range of training courses at your premises for a cost-effective price.
These training courses are run at your premises to suit 3 types of individuals. This includes novice, refresher, and conversion courses. All training is covered by an approved and fully registered RTITB instructor, and course training time is dictated by the number of students on the course, but typically 35 hours of training is required for a novice operator.
Reach Truck Training
The name refers to the ability of the fork carriage to ‘reach’ out beyond the stabilising legs and therefore ‘reach’ into racking. The combination of this reach capability and the stabilising legs means that reach trucks lift to great heights (more than 10 meters), while still operating in very tight working environments. The stabilising legs and batteries within a reach truck negate the need for any counterbalance weight within the truck construction.
This is also known as the pivot steer, as it works in narrower aisles. These forklift trucks have an articulated counterbalance style, which makes them great for a range of situations. The following options are covered in this course:
- Machine Familiarisation
- Daily Checks
- Refuelling and Battery Procedures
- Load Weight Assessment and Handling
- Stacking Racking
- Awkward Loads and Vehicle Loading
Mounted Moffett Training
The Moffett is a truck-mounted forklift, in that it carries out all the functions of a conventional forklift truck, carrying loads and loading/offloading vehicles. However, unlike a conventional forklift, it is light enough to be carried on the back of a lorry or truck. On completion of this course, members will:
- Operate the truck model used in training safely and correctly in accordance with the manufacturers handbook and accepted good practice.
- Attach the truck to a carrying vehicle and detach it from a carrying vehicle safely and correctly. This should be done in accordance with the manufacturers handbook, instructions, and the relevant road traffic legislation.
- Clearly understand the causes of instability of the truck and loads
- Carry a routine pre-use inspection of the truck
